A Simpler and Faster Europe
Users will be able to
In much the same way that the financial world has simplified user access to its systems the European Commission is set to introduce the European Business Wallet designed to enable businesses of all sizes "to manage national, cross-border and EU regulatory requirements, notifications, and compliance processes in one place and in a user-friendly way".
The Commission acknowledges that reporting is a subset of wider administrative costs and in a holistic approach has set new targets to reduce the administrative burden by at least 25% and for SMEs by 35%. Estimates calculate this will save the EU in the region of EUR 37.5 billion by the end of the mandate in 2029.
Google's AI overview of how banking has changed over the last 20 years is a contemporary assessment of how advancing technology is making the world, not only safer but more sustainable.
In precisely the same way the European Commission's proposal: Omnibus Package on Sustainability will cover far-reaching simplifications in the fields of sustainable finance reporting, sustainability due diligence and taxonomy, the legislative description of ESG. The strategy will create greater competitiveness for EU businesses and their supply chains through their Scope 3 reporting requirements.
